In this chapter, Takeru, Youhei and Miki is pitted by a resurrected and brainwashed Gai by the Vyrams. Thanks to Miki's quick wit, Gai returns to the world of living, full of control over himself and defeats the Vyram that brainwashed him. He hadn't declared himself Takeru's ally, but he does appreciate them for bringing him back to life.
