In this chapter, Miki was confronted with the harsh world that she might not be able to save everyone perfectly and that she might have been too idealistic and naive. After a Gedoushuu attack, Juzou attacks the team and while Miki tried to convince her, she paid for it with a wound, thanks to Juzou never wanting to let go of his bloodlust. The Ayakashi managed to overwhelm the team, but Miki quickly got back up and defeated it.
This is also an instance where Takeru is visibly angry, when Juzou cut down Miki heartlessly.
